Prepreg Products

Technology Marketing, Inc. (TMI) is a Distributor of preimpregnated reinforcement materials, resins and other services for the fiber reinforced composites industry. Common reinforcing materials such as fiberglass, aramid and carbon fiber fabrics are solution coated using three commercial treaters.
The following products are offered:

Epoxy Resin Prepreg – Sporting goods (fishing rods, kayak paddles, vaulting pole, etc.), aircraft secondary structures, automotive components, railway components, power distribution equipment, marine applications (bulkhead, hull and decking) and many more.

• Epoxy prepregs have curing temperature capability from 145ºF up to 405ºF and glass transition temperatures to 385ºF and above. Tailored flow and tack characteristics with cure times as short as 10 minutes are available.

Phenolic Resin Prepreg – Aircraft cabin interior wall panels and stowage compartments, rocket nozzles and structural insulation, nose cones, aerodynamic heating insulation, carbon furnace lining, carbon-carbon components, ballistic body and vehicle armor.

• Phenolic prepregs cure temperatures from 265ºF to 350ºF with cure times ranging from 10 minutes to 4 hours. Polyester Resin Prepreg – Radomes, ballistic body and vehicle armor, sporting goods, bearings, reinforcements in industrial products, antennae, UV stable outdoor products.

• Polyester prepregs cure temperatures from 220ºF to 325ºF with cures times from 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Resins – Phenolic resin for a wide range of applications.

Nano-Enhanced Prepreg – Sporting goods (fishing rods, kayak paddles, vaulting pole, etc.), aircraft secondary structures, automotive components, railway components, power distribution equipment, marine applications (bulkhead, hull and decking) and many more applications when you need the increased strength carbon nano tubes provides.

Toll Coating – For common reinforcing fabrics used in the composites industry.

Vinyl-ester, BMI and silicone prepregs are also available for a variety of applications and markets.
